Timing
Check starting time on your ticket for performances/workshops. We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before starting your day at QPAC and at least 15 minutes before each performance/workshop.

Traffic Management
There are no road closures in the festival precinct. People are encouraged to use designated walkways between venues. There will be additional manned pedestrian crossings.

Festival Buddies
Wearing red Out of the Box branded t-shirts, will be available to assist you with the location of the nearest facilities and point you in the direction of your next performance/workshop venue. At each venue there will be QPAC front-of-house staff, identified by their uniforms, who will also be available to assist groups.

Cloakrooms
All OOTB venues operate a free to use cloakroom. This is a first-come-first-served basis but we endeavour to cater for everyone.

Venue Seating
In some venues, seating for children will be on the floor and cushions will be provided. Booster cushions are available for the theatres.

Special Effects
For festival audiences, theatres will not be completely dark and sound levels will be appropriately pitched for young ears. There may even be special effects that involve loud bangs and/or smoke. There will be performance information for special effects located outside venues that have engaged special effects.

Talking
Sometimes children may need reassurance during perfromances, please talk quietly being mindful of artists and others around you.

In Case of an Emergency
Look for the festival information booth or look for the Festival Buddies who will know the best way of dealing with any situation. There are First Aid officers working in all buildings during the festival.

Prams
For safety reasons, prams are not permitted in theatres. Designated pram parking spaces will be provided around the festival site. Please see festival map [PDF 601KB] for specific locations.
