QPAC’s Out of the Box Festival for 3 to 8 year olds at the Cultural Centre will be six excitement filled days that no child should miss.
There are loads of performances including featuring favourite local, national and international companies. Explore amazing prehistoric lands with Gondwana; take a musical journey under the sea with The Little Mermaid; be enthralled by the brilliant harmonies and off-beat humour of Sounds of the Sea; celebrate the creativity of communication without language in Funny Voices; take a magical journey of discovery with Boat; help Danny battle it out with a mad magpie in Beeware; experience the rich and playful world of Aboriginal culture with Red Earth, Blue Water; or discover that art is full of surprises in What Does Red Do on Thursday?
Workshops provide the opportunity to participate in art in a highly hands-on environment lead by specialist artists. Children can create a new animal in Critters; dance to the beat in Move it!; create their own animations in Animated; make a fashion statement in My Style; use a variety of fun activities to explore music in Music Play, Making Music or Sing with Me; or use art to explore unity, peace and community in Different Faces, One Smile.
Plus you can fill in spaces in your busy schedule or just enjoy an entire day exploring the many free events across the Cultural Centre.
